A Letter From T Lu
Greetings,
I am T Lu, creator of Harmonic Mandalas and Music. I first became interested in Feng Shui when I heard about it as a child. My mother was interested in home decor and real estate, and we lived in many houses, each with a different atmosphere and experience to them. However, I didn’t truly appreciate the power of Feng Shui concepts and energy quality until I was an adult, when I turned to Feng Shui to put the theory to the test.
For years, it seemed like I was stuck in a loop - going around and around but not getting where I wanted to go in relationships or work. I started using Feng Shui techniques to purposely remove and rearrange some items in my home, and I noticed an improvement in difficult relationships. It was subtle at first, so I didn’t instantly realize how well it was working. As time went by, I noticed distance from the troublesome issues that felt inescapable before. Intrigued, I continued to explore and understand Feng Shui, looking to understand energy and how to work with it, why making these changes worked, as well as what things didn’t really work and why.
The more I learned, the more I practiced working with energy, the more I understood my own sensitivity to energy of people and places. I was able to sense energy in objects and environments, and I was sensitive to the energy people emit. Understanding this answered many questions for me, and it helped me understand myself better and make choices to better protect my own well being. I also realized that I don’t need to be in a location or next to a person to get a read on the energy they are emitting, which is how I can do energy readings on a home environment remotely.
As a few examples of what my sensitivity to energy looks like, I once received a birthday card from a someone close to me, which seems like it would be something positive. I happily opened it, but I could barely hold onto it because I could feel nothing but contempt radiating from it, even though it was a humorous card. Confused by the mismatch of energy vs surface humor, I got rid of the card and wondered why so much anger was in that card, as well as why the person felt obligated to send it to me while resenting me for it.
Later, I found an old piece of jewelry with a prayer on it that I thought would be supportive. It had belonged to someone who had passed away when I was very young, which made me think it was even more special. I put it in my pocket and went on with my day, but a feeling of deep sorrow, confusion, and helplessness crept over me out of nowhere. I didn’t understand why I was feeling that way until I realized it started when I started carrying the necklace. When I put it away, the despair went away with it. I tried this a few times to see if this was real and repeatable, and the same thing happened. When I looked into this further, I found out this person had been struggling with alcoholism, and this emblem had been meaningful to him. He had used this emblem as support, too, but it had absorbed his despair and was then radiating it back out to me more than thirty years later.
These examples and more prompted me to work more closely with energy and to understand and refine about my own abilities. Studying Feng Shui, Reiki energy healing, and sound healing gave me the clarity I needed to make positive changes in my life and finally feel like I was moving forward instead of going around and around.
I have combined my skills and love of music, mandalas, and energy sensitivity to create Harmonic Mandalas and Music to help others experience the difference having clean energy in their living space makes. Music is audible energy, and it’s very effective at clearing negative energy patterns. It’s works quickly to clear out negative energy, like a father (yang) energy, in that it doesn’t want to hear excuses but wants the mess cleaned up now. The spiritual reverence for Universal Energy deeply woven into the history of mandalas combined with equal reverence imbued in Reiki energy work, make Reiki Mandalas a visual and energetic prayer that emit nurturing and nourishing energy similar to a loving mother. This Yin energy is patient yet persistent in getting the work done in ways people often overlook and take for granted.
My work doesn’t stop at the front door, however. Having loved nature and working with plants and gardening most of my life, it’s clear that we need to be better stewards of the earth and the elements than we have been, particularly in the last 100 years or so. While humans have made great technological advances in that time, we have also created an energetic mess that needs cleaned up. Even though my mandalas and music are designed to re-energize houses and possessions, the energy goes beyond the buildings and into the natural environment. It clears negative energy patterns in water and the earth so that plants and Nature’s creatures can benefit from the effects of clean energy, as well. I envision it to be similar to acupuncture for the earth. To me, this is the most important part. Our homes will eventually make their way back into the earth, but the earth and her elements will remain. We each need to do our best to take care of Nature and respect all we’ve been provided by cleaning up the messes we make, physically and energetically.
My hope is that with cleaner energy around us that each of us will become more aware of the energy we emit and work to clean up our own behaviors, thoughts, and attitudes so that we can emit creative energy into the world and reduce the destructive energy that is so prevalent.
Sincerely,
T Lu
